Installing Ubuntu using PXE

Just had a “PXE-E05: EEPROM checksum error” with my MP965-DR trying to PXE boot for Karmic install.
Did not reprogram EEPROM as suggested here, because this site says, that I may break stuff. However, tried (and failed) to flash my BIOS, because there is a newer version (1.09) than the factory installed.
